ìtọ́jú is a free mentorship program designed to support Black African international students in Canada.

Our Mission: To equip young African international students with the tools, resources, and community they need to excel academically and thrive in Canada. ìtọ́jú is here to support you every step of the way, so you don’t have to navigate a whole new system alone.

Our Vision: An empowered interdependent network that fosters a sense of belonging and soft landing through holistic programming and resourcing.

What to expect

A supportive community where Black African International students can connect, grow and thrive in Canada.

Events and social activities to help you form meaningful connections with fellow students and mentors.

Personalized support from someone who has been through the same journey. Biweekly check-ins to discuss challenges and celebrate wins.

A focus on your overall well-being, not just academics but also personal, social, cultural and professional growth.

A 4-month program covering essential topics tailored to the international student experience.

Each mentee receives a $500 stipend/honorarium for their participation in the program.
